Artificial intelligence continues to transform learning processes by contributing to the development of new methods and approaches in the field of education. Many topics, from academic production to lesson design, from assessment and evaluation methods to learning analytics, are being re-evaluated with AI-supported solutions.
In this context, the CourseGPT Workshop organized by the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Bahçeşehir University in collaboration with OpenAI was conducted as a practical study focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence into educational processes. The workshop provided a perspective for academics on effectively using AI-supported tools in course content and educational planning.
The first training of the workshop, held on Wednesday, November 12 at KST102, was conducted under the title "Artificial Intelligence and the Transformation It Creates in Education". The training, delivered by Dr. Meltem Özmutlu, took place between 10:00 and 12:00. Faculty members from the Faculty of Architecture and Design participated in the event.
Within the scope of the CourseGPT Workshop, the areas of use of artificial intelligence in education were addressed through topics such as content production for courses, analysis of learning processes, evaluation methods, and academic planning. Thanks to practical presentations, participants worked on examples aimed at positioning AI as a natural part of lesson design. This process contributed to faculty members approaching their lessons with a more structured and measurable perspective.
The CourseGPT approach discussed in the workshop was regarded as a model that supports academic productivity and enriches the learning experience. The opportunities offered by AI-supported systems in producing content aligned with learning objectives and analyzing student feedback were emphasized.
Aligned with Bahçeşehir University’s vision of applied education, the CourseGPT Workshop was an important example of how AI-based educational approaches can be positioned at the university level. The event contributed to raising awareness of AI-supported educational models in the academic world.
